The TaxTimer™ is a multi-sleeve folder and index system for collecting, organizing and storing annual financial, tax-related, business and personal records.

Each of the 32 pockets will hold one color-coded index card (insert) which lists the items that should be placed in that particular sleeve.

The How To Use Instruction Booklet will guide each user to the color relevant to their taxpayer type and in turn to the list of inserts to be used.

Getting Started

With the TaxTimer™, you will receive a booklet comprised of information sheets called "inserts". Separate all of these and place in alpha and numerical order. Then select from the index the color code that relates to your type of business or personal activity. Remove any inserts that do not have your color checkmark on them. The rest you will place one to a pocket on the sleeves in the portfolio including all of the personal (pink) inserts.

It is important while you're doing this to take note of the information provided on each insert.

Label and date the outside of the portfolio. Then complete insert A (personal information) and insert D (self-employment information) front and back.

NOTE: Starting with the Information forms, (insert A and D) you will be guided to specific inserts and colour coding that relates to you and your situation.

If both spouses or partners are self-employed, it may be beneficial to use an individual TaxTimer™ .

*  All inserts do not apply to everyone
*  Place all inserts in the order listed on Page 2 for easy index reference
